Proof of Citizenship Required

What travel documents do I need to board a Royal Caribbean cruise ship (U.S. Citizens)? Passports or Passport Cards are highly recommended! For US Sailings - US Citizens need a copy of their official Birth Certificate and a supporting Government-issued Issued Photo ID, Hospital Birth Certificates are not accepted (baby feet Birth Certificates). We highly recommend guest sail with their valid US Passport book with six months of validity past their cruise.

Celebrating Krystal's Birthday on the Ovation of the Sea

Enjoy a relaxing day at sea before arriving in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where breathtaking beaches and iconic landmarks like El Arco await during an extended overnight stay. After more tranquil cruising, explore the charm of Ensenada, Mexico, known for its rich culture, wineries, and coastal beauty. Finally, return to Los Angeles with memories to last a lifetime.

The Arc Card

Must be original and valid at least 6 months after their voyage ends. For permanent residents sailing on closed loop voyages in the U.S., the only document that need to sail with is their ARC (Green) card. They don't need to have or show their passport or any other travel document. All ARC cards have a photo of guest on the card, therefore no additional state issued ID is necessary as long as the ARC card is valid. However, there are exceptions to this rule* *NOTE: If a permanent resident is sailing on a closed loop voyage in the U.S. that includes certain countries not specifically named by the Department of State as being covered by the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) (e.g Honduras or Belize), they will need both their ARC (Green) card and their passport. Guests who do not provide both forms of documentation will be denied boarding.

IMPORTANT: Haiti does fall within WHTI— Labadee included. For closed loop sailings, we recommend guests that are US Residents (ARC Holders
